Could it be the kids leftovers?

We all know that food is the number 1 reason for weight gain

A dad on our over 30’s only programme is that his food was always perfect

He tracked it using MyFitnessPal as we suggest

He uses the recipes books and meal plans that we give

He planned his meals and then wrote them down

He even worked out 4 sessions per week

But what he didn’t take into account was his kids

He has 3 kids who are all fussy at eating

One doesn’t like chips

The other isn’t a big fan of meat

While the 3rd just eats everything

So when it comes to dinner time for the kids he is making almost 3 different meals each time

Then when they are full and there is still a lot of food left on the plate

HE EATS THE LEFTOVERS

What he didn’t realise was that this is also food he needs to be taking into account

Anything from 200-500 calories extra per day that he hasn’t even tracked

That almost 500 calories each day that he then needs to try and burn

So here is what we are working on with him

To keep up the good work with his own food & workouts

And then NOT TO EAT any leftovers

Getting great results don’t always require HUGE changes

Something we really focus on with the over 30’s is making tiny changes in their lives that can lead to LONG TERM RESULTS
